The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra has won plaudits for its performances in many of the most prestigious concert venues around the globe. At home, it has served since 1936 as Israel’s national radio orchestra, featuring a highly anticipated annual series of recorded concert broadcasts. Conductor Laureate Dmitry Yablonsky, a renowned cellist, is in constant demand as a guest conductor worldwide. Israeli cello prodigy Danielle Akta is regarded as a young artist of considerable promise. Born in 2002, she already has won first prizes at the FLAME Competition in Paris and at “The Muse” Music Competition in Athens.
